This is Jessica’s third time to seek election as a County Councillor representing the Hartismere division, where she has had the privilege of representing people from largely rural Suffolk. Jessica has been a Suffolk resident since 2003 when she moved from Colorado, USA where she had spent 20 years working mainly on Government programmes (Environmental Protection and Defence).
Jessica was brought up on a mixed farm in Ireland and qualified in Natural Science and Geology from Dublin and Denver universities. In the UK, she has worked in town planning and environmental assessment. Her main priorities as a Councillor are to engage with residents and small businesses and to ensure that as we gradually shed the current pandemic restrictions rural communities can access necessary support.
She recognises that services will need to adapt and do things differently in the future.
Within the Council, Jessica has held responsibilities in scrutiny, public health and planning and understands the vital role that an effective administration plays, more so than ever at this time. If elected, she will continue to represent your interests and help to provide the safe roads, reliable services, community improvements and economic recovery that are needed.
