Central Suffolk and North Ipswich Conservative Association said:
"Patrick Spencer's membership of the Conservative Party - including of this association - was immediately suspended following the Crown Prosecution Service's announcement.
"Given this matter is subject to ongoing legal proceedings, we cannot comment further at this time.”
